SUSPENSION OF IMMEX PROGRAM

On July 20, 2010, the "Resolution containing holders name and number of the suspended manufacturing, maquiladora and export services programs (IMMEX Programs)”, was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation.

As provided in the Decree for the Promotion of the Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services (IMMEX Decree), the IMMEX Program's holders are required to:

a)         Submit an annual report to the Ministry of Economy, stating the total sales and exports, as of the last day of May each year;
b)         Have an advanced electronic signature certificate issued by the Taxpayers Administration Service;
c)         Have their corresponding taxpayers ID Number in force and effect and,
d)         Have duly registered and active in the Taxpayers Federal Registry their domicile for tax purposes and their facilities' domicile where the IMMEX Program holder carries out its operations.

Breach of these requirements will suspend the holder's right of temporal importation of goods under the IMMEX Program until such omissions are rectified.
